The main outlets in Tuscany

Shopping is among the thousand and more reasons to visit Tuscany. Fans of fashion and luxury goods often include one or more shopping stops on their travels. Among the best-known destinations are the magnificent Via de’ Tornabuoni in Florence which is overlooked by the shops of all the biggest names in the fashion sector. In addition to the shopping streets found in the historic centers of the cities of art, there are several company outlets and outlets in Tuscany that can satisfy all your cravings. These are small shopping towns, often referred to as “villages”, equipped with all services and designed solely to encourage the consumer to shop.

The Mall Firenze

The first and most famous of the Tuscan outlets is certainly The Mall, which is located about an hour from Florence. The Mall Firenze is the luxury outlet in Tuscany with dozens and dozens of great Italian and international brands. The Mall’s offer is in fact based exclusively on the big names in haute couture. Just to name a few, here you will find the shops of Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, Fendi, Tod’s, Hogan, Prada, Cavalli and Emilio Pucci among the Italians and Burberry, Fay, Givenchy, Moncler, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent as far as foreign brands are concerned.

The Mall Firenze is located in Leccio, a fraction of the municipality of Reggello in Valdarno. It is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm, even on Sundays. It can be easily reached by car via the A1 motorway with the Incisa-Reggello exit. The outlet is located a few km from the motorway exit and is well signposted. Alternatively, there is a bus service that leaves from the Santa Maria Novella station in Florence and leads to the Mall.

Designer Outlet in Barberino del Mugello

The Designer Outlet in Barberino del Mugello is one of the favorite destinations for shopping lovers. This is a very large outlet with many shops and about one hundred fashion brands represented. The large number of shops and the variety of items on sale are the main strengths of this outlet.

Also in this case, a real village has been built with an architecture that can recall that of many other small villages. Obviously everything is designed to create an environment suitable to stimulate the desire to shop. The Barberino outlet develops along a main street lined with shops, bars and restaurants where you can relax from the fatigue of shopping.

Prices are obviously lower than in the shops found in the city and discounts usually range between 30% and 70%. Among the brands that you will find in Barberino, there are Ralph Lauren, Nike, Gap, Levi’s, Hugo Boss, Boggi, New Balance, North Sails, Pollini, Salomon, The North Face and Timberland.

The Barberino Designer Outlet is open every day, except holidays, from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening. The outlet is located about 40 minutes by car from Florence and can be reached from the A1 motorway, Barberino exit. There is also a shuttle bus service, which leaves from the central station of Florence.

Prada Space Outlet

Prada Space Outlet, as the name implies, is the official mega store of Prada, the prestigious brand symbol of Italian elegance in the world. It is the first luxury outlet born in Tuscany. Here you can find all the products of the famous fashion house, from clothing to bags and accessories.

All men’s and women’s collections are signed by Prada, Miu Miu, Church’s and Car Shoe. Prices are generally discounted from 30% to 50% but there are further discounts on sales. This outlet is also open from Monday to Sunday, from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.

To reach the Prada Space Outlet you have to exit at the Valdarno tollbooth of the A1 motorway, then proceed towards Montevarchi and finally take the Strada Statale 69 towards Arezzo.

Valdichiana Outlet Village

The Valdichiana Outlet Village is a small city dedicated to fashion. Like any self-respecting city, Valdichiana Village is equipped with many services including bars, restaurants, children’s playground, pharmacy and even a beauty center. As for shopping, you are spoiled for choice as there are more than 100 shops, where you can buy the products of many major international brands. They range from clothing, furnishings, perfumery and even household items.

A bit like the Barberino outlet, this too is structured to resemble a typical village, with streets, squares and arcades. Also in this outlet you will find reduced prices in all seasons, with discounts of up to 70%.

The Val di Chiana outlet is open every day, from Monday to Sunday from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening. The Valdichiana Outlet Village is also reachable from the A1 motorway. In this case the exit to take is that of Valdichiana. From there just follow the signs to get to your destination.
