The Notti d’estate at Arcetri return
For the sixth consecutive year tornano the Notti d’estate (summer nights) come back at Arcetri . This is a series of events aimed at bringing the general public tothe world of science and especially astronomy. Notti d’estate it is not only science; in addition to appointments with astronomy there will be livemusic and also an art workshop dedicated to children. Very welcome news this year are the so-called “apericene” (aperitif-dinner) prepared by I Ragazzi di Sipario.
Notti d’estate gather science, music, food and also social inclusion, in the beautiful location of Arcetri.
Arcetri and the Theatre of the Sky
The Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory is located in one of themost beautiful areas of Florence. The hillside location close to the historic center ensures that the centre is not only a great vantage point of obesvation of the sky, but also an ideal place to organize cultural events such as those scheduled this summer.
The program
This year’s program, composed of 15 appointments, started the 13th of june and will end the 7th of september. The events will take place every Tuesday and Thursday; at theend of every evening is planned the observation of the sky.

Reservation is required
Where is it:
All events will be at the theater of the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory. The theater is accessed from Via del Pian dei Giullari 16 rather than the canonical entry of the Observatory located in Largo Enrico Fermi.
Where to park the car:
The best place to park the car is between Via Torre del Gallo and Via Pian dei Giullari.
